The client, IT-People are into recruitment focused on IT Services and BPO-ITES in Gulf, USA, Europe & India. They had a consulting division, which did Recruitment: Temporary & Permanent Staffing. They have clients like Cap Gemini, EDS, Mashreq Bank, HSBC, etc.

They wanted to launch a Global Job Portal focused on IT/ITES and increase their offering. 70% of revenues of Horizontal Job Portals like Monster, Jobstreet, HotJobs, CareerJobs, DICE, BAYT, Naukri, etc. is from IT.

Solution

Consultancy: We compared 11 International Portals (as mentioned above) feature-by-feature and arrived at a wish list of all features required in a World Class Job Portal. Secondly, a Market Survey of Job Seekers and Recruiters in the IT Space was conducted and a checklist of their aspirations and needs was arrived at. Based on the above the specifications for the Job Portal were written up and several enhanced features like offline softwares integrated with the Portal, SMS alerts, etc. was added.

Development: Based on the specifications the entire development was undertaken and the Portal launched. Currently Phase I of the Portal with all Key features is active with 500/750 resumes coming in regularly. Phase II is under development and will get completed by end-May with features that make it the Benchmark portal.

The Portal will end up every single feature that are present on the world’s 11 top portals and new features, which takes it ahead of its competitors. Being IT focused, the biggest differentiator will be the use of Technology on the Portal.

It will have an Online Payment Gateway, an SMS Gateway, MIS reports for all stakeholders, Admin Console to manage customers.

Standard features like Newsletters (Multiple Templates), Mass Mailing Tools, LiveAgent Chat, in-built CRM system, etc. are available.

Artificial Intelligence to do match-making (Jobs with Candidates) has been integrated making the system very powerful.
