Brief

• Laadli is an initiative to spread awareness about issues relating to the girl child and is run by the NGO Population First
• They have regular contests and campaigns which are aimed at media professions. The contest encourages articts to submit their artwork realting to issues around the girl child. This could be in any format (Photographs, graphics, films, lyrics etc)
• We signed up for their social media campaign for a period of 6months to spread awareness about the same

Solution

• To take this campaign forward, we registered the brand on various social media sites like facebook, twitter, flickr, Youtube, linkedIN etc
• We also took active part in NGO related discussion forums like Karmayog, and Causes
• Databases of media professionals were collated and branded emailers were sent to them.
• Results of activities were tracked using various tools and analysed. Based on the analysis the campaign was tweaked weekly to get maximum results
• Population First received the maximum amount of entries for the campaign held during this period. A number of news reports carried articles and quotes from Population First workers. The likes on Facebook rose to 1154 in the first month itself. SImilar results were achieved across different platforms
• This campaign was specially satisfying for our team, because of all it stood for.
